The highlands of Scotland majorly touched me with the pristine beauty around - lush greenery , clouds n rains n sunshine .. all together at the same time..somehow could feel the appropriateness of the saying "heaven on earth", wont have been surprised had Lord Shiva arrived and said "tatthasthu" :)and then certainly the idea of preserving the old establishments and memories in d form of "castles".. after coming back to India , i was always bearing that romantic panorama in my eyes n d feeling in my soul, longing to go there again.
Its raining hard in and around Maharashtra - the green city of Pune seems to have dispersed romance everywhere, the two parallel mountain ranges visible from our balcony keep playing hide and seek taking aid of the shower curtains :).. the Western Ghats n change in weather brought in the reminisces of the Scotland memories and somehow i could strike a similarity between both. Its the same feeling of romance - and then a trip to Lonavla.. the mountains getting immersed in the clouds and playing hide n seek with each other.. rains n clouds n sunshine n springs here n there .. d same serenity dwelling around ! Suddenly I realized that romance is a state of mind n can invade you newhere with things turning you on! At the same time, I could see that our country is equally nature rich n beautiful as those exotic spots outside the country. Having enough time to soak in the romance, the hills of Lonavla are bound to swipe you away in your dreamland n have a joy ride in the swings there :) I m sure every romantic would agree with me on the feeling of romance everywhere if u have that mind set and the environment everywhere at every stage in life ...
By the way , my terrace gives me a nice spectacle of two parallel ranges of the Western Ghats always changing colors, sometimes disappearing in the clouds, playing with the rains... makes me mad at times when they keep changing their appearance too often n get drenched in the heavy downpour ... being a romantic i cant stop myself having the goosebumps at any such instance :)

Come friend, lets hold each other's hands and make an effort together !
My neighbor Mrs Pawar is an old lady in her mid 70s - she resembles a typical Indian mother. I had been to their small little house once to meet Mr and Mrs Pawar as a new neighbor.I was absolutely enchanted at the warmth they greeted me with! I developed a strange bond with his Pawar couple.
My daily regime is home-work-home , 9 - 9 and hardly get any chance of interacting with them. Everyday when we come back , we see the surroundings in front of our gate is absolutely clean and think the gardener cleans the area everyday! He does a good job, ow we pay him I guess !! I was whipped back to my civic senses a few days back while i peeped out of our drawing room as I was working from home ! Mrs Pawar was sweeping the entire area with a broomstick and clearing away the weeds!! The surprised and ashamed me, went promptly and asked her "aai (mother in marathi) , why are you doing this ? " .. she replied with the same innocent smile on her face "an untidy appearance does not give a positive vibe" .. d mesmerized me immediately threw my next question "but why you ? why not ask the respective house owners do that?" .. the same calm n sweet lady said with the same smile "i do it because its visible to me and costs me nothing, others will do when they realize" !!
We come across so many sights a day which are not very soothing to our eyes - child labor, poverty, beggars around, alcoholism , druggist , duping and what not. The easiest thing we do is to keep away and best thing we do is criticize. Often we are found saying "ohh this is what I hate in our country, when I was in UK at least i never saw child labor!" or "ohh people lack civic sense here, the streets of America are so neat!".. We do spend money in luxury and good/bad stuff like shopping, party , alcohol , betting and what not! We earn in 10 digits and we save in whatever digits - all for ourselves. While we read about poverty and child labor in newspaper and get served by children at the street side tea shop, sometimes we chuckle and comment about their misfortune. The question that really shook me up is "what steps have I taken to contribute in their betterment that I deserve speaking about their misfortune ? - do i sponsor a child? do i save for a future investment in at least 10 street children ? do i spend time educating them rather than going partying and socializing?? We read motivational pieces from famous impressionists like Shiv Khera or Robin Sharma , but do we speak to our family, friends and neighbors about cultivating good habits or developing a positive mental attitude ??.. well, i think many of us would get an answer no!!
We discuss the latest movie in box office n go to a movie together, we speak about the latest trend in Wills Lifestyle and go shopping together. Can we talk about the visible gaps in our surroundings and take some corrective and preventive measure together ?? Can we realize that taking an effort costs nothing , a ocean is composed of drops , drops of our efforts can make a mass !! My senses say "yes , of course" ... What do yours say!!
Drop in your comments, friends :)

Freedom
Its more than 60 years that India has gained Independence and what we call "Freedom". While I could discover a commonly predominant syndrome in the gentry nowadays called " i dont have time syndrome", my grey cells were kind of forced to dive deeper and do a little bit of analysis of the extent of freedom in our little common lives.
You must be thinking ,aumm..wats this syndrome all about..Well, lemme be little elaborate. India is supposed to be a culturally and spiritually rich place as emphasized in many pieces of verse including Robin Sharma's "The Monk who sold his ferrari". Everybody used to be warm, cultured , peaceful showing real instances of hospitality, we used to have time to stand and stare, stop n hear. Now we have entered a Next G era, wherein often being proposed for a cup of coffee our tongue in conjunction with vocal chord comes out with "ohh I dont have time to die even"!! which is so true. Most of us have entered a labyrinth wherein we gotta keep rolling in and out for earning our livelihood and we hardly come out of it, mostly because consciously or subconsciously we do not want to.. We have many reasons to be cited like "we are ambitious", "we need money" , "we are making our children's future secure", etc etc.. But do we really know what we mean ? Do our ambitions come with the vow of not spending time with our family and friends ? Are we not putting up lame excuses to our kids while leaving them in day care that we are earning for them ? I might sound quite rogue, but thats quite true.
Now, lets come back to our core topic of freedom and play a game of identifying instances of freedom in our own lives. You are free to select your own questions from the following:
A. Am I having the freedom of choosing my own time to work ?
B. Am I having the freedom to dream of anything I want in life?
C. Am I having the freedom of spending as much time as I want with my family and friends?
D. Am I having the freedom of exercising my sense of creativity and innovation at every stage I want ?
E. Am I having the freedom of serving my parents, my creators to the fullest extent and spend quality time with them?
Well, if I look at myself I do not !! All the answers to the above question would be "Not me, its my employer who has the liberty!" Its quite unfortunate indeed that we are rushing towards something we ourselves are oblivious of, we do not have time to introspect of what we really want in life and whats the prime objective !! There's only one life we gotta live and why not live it to the fullest.
Its high time to take a look back and recalculate, explore the best means of living our lives. A balanced life is not rocket science or not as complicated as launching a spaceship! We need to earn back our freedom and fight for it. We just need to trust ourselves - I have read somewhere that certain things cant be shown with colored pencils on graphs , but are nevertheless real - trust is one of them ! Winston Churchill in one of his famous quotes has said "Sure I am that this day, now, we are the masters of our fate. That the task which has been set us is not above our strength. That its pangs and toils are not beyond our endurance. As long as we have faith in our cause, and an unconquerable willpower, salvation will not be denied us".
I am on my track towards salvation - try to reincarnate myself :)) Freedom is what I am praying for .. Peace and contentment what I am looking for ... Justice is what I am cultivating ! ...

Dil bole hadippa :)
A reader must be thinking "whats this all about with the name of a weired hindi movie" .. but trust me nothing better is coming to my mind at this point of time:D .. what really inspired me in this movie to write a blog was a dialogue delivered by the lady actor implying something like "an ordinary girl having a dream to play cricket at national level faces huge resistance from everybody else, citing probable failure and encouragement to play in petty girls' team or so...."..
I was again going through the case study of my own life and a couple of others known.. OK , let do an exercise, try and figure out neighbors , friends , relatives etc who keep on reminding us "what we deserve and how big we can grow or what great we can achieve and be somebody like Kalpana Chawla, Dhirubhai Ambani, Karan Johar , Bernini or Shahrukh Khan !" versus "what we dont deserve and pertinent limitations to grow in life"... we would certainly notice that the second group would be more in number, no offence meant, thats the trend !! I am again fortunate, that I had been always reminded of what I can do - could not stop mentioning my little cousin sister who always had been like a messiah keeping on reminding me what I deserve and what great qualities I possess !!She had always been uplifting me and still does, mentioning the truth that failures all around are never to be related to and she insisted that I am talented, I am powerful and I simply deserve the best ... She was the one who have always highlighted my strengths and encouraged me for all those things which many other discouraged because of failures they've witnessed ... I thank God for such a sister and then of course my parents, husband and rest of the family ...
You know what I feel, Motivation is the key thing we really need , MENTORSHIP is what we yearn for .. for every new venture, for every dream we want to live - small or big. Believer you me, we are and would be faced with tremendous opposing force bagged with negatives all around whenever we try to grow in any arena! But, the question is do we look at the failures and step back or do we get encouraged with the successful mass and step forward !! Surprisingly, the normal human tendency is being skeptical about the failure and keeping away from significant ventures, though we all deserve success if we can really work towards it !! When a girl and a guy fall in love in an inter cast marriage in our society, they face tremendous resistance because of prevailing failures or myths or misconceptions, but the couple who has faith in themselves stick on and they say "oh cummon, we know ourselves better than what you do, and we do trust ourselves more than you outsiders eh!! I wondering why such resistances and objections and negatives exist on earth!Woohoo, and here I get the answer - probably we get exactly what we deserve.God rewards the one who has faith in himself and has the tenacity to fight for an achievement like the toppers in our school - as simple as that! Actually this is certainly not an easy job to fight resistances and be a winner - A Good mentor is essential for that like my sister for me !
The movie had a strong message , a girl who has the faith of playing cricket at a national level will do everything good to reach the national level match to play on the field and be a winner and a coach would be veto power for that ! Whats the big deal ! Anyone can turn out being a winner in every possible venture we take up for his growth !For that, certainly we ought to have faith in ourselves and God, work towards that religiously without any excuses and look at one successful citation if it exists and ignore 100 failures even if they come n try to get us ... i believe if 1 person succeeds in what i intend to do and 10 people have failed in that, that 1 person cant be more intelligent and capable than what I am !!
Winning is a mindset, even failures witness that ... Being a winner is all in the mind ... The dictating spirit is "Cummon , lets do it !"

Marriages are made in Heaven :) ...
I had been talking over phone to my husband's aunt last evening .. the occasion was wishing her on her birthday - the sweet lady is over 65 :) .. after her small sweet complaints that I dont call her and keep no news of the old aunt , she asked me "so how are you guys doing?" ...instantaneously i replied "excellent, life after marriage seems to be the starting of the rocking phase of life, togetherness is a bliss !" ... her immediate response was "God bless you my child, nowadays we get to hear very few such response" ... we both had a laugh over this as aunt is not the first one to be surprised to hear that marriage seems to be a bliss to both of us...
Me and my husband had been courting each other for more than a year most of which was distant n super distant with me out of the country for quite a long time...the date for our wedding was fixed and we were eagerly waiting for that to come ... we had been travelling through wonderlands n weaving dreamz about married life ... ohhh such a thrill it was ... i was counting days there with a 5 n a half hours time lag ...n finally we got married ... dream comes true !!
While we had been going through the courtship period, we had been having a mixed bag of inputs from the gentry around .. people had been saying good and bad things ... the picture thrown was more of a bleak one than a bright sunny one ... married couples hardly sounded way too happy about their marriages , some said marriage is good till u are done with it - then the hardship starts ... some were making the groom the villain wherein the angel boyfriend changes to daemon husband after marriage .. some were complaining about unkept promises ... never to miss the in law syndrome :))) ... poor in laws are always blamed !! so , in a nutshell, the weight age of negative inputs had been more than positive and bright ones :)) The elites seem to challenge the saying "Marriages are made in heaven" !!
hahaha .... i smile at all of them ... coz certainly i m a winner... its proved for me that marriages indeed are made in heaven ... i always used to dream of a family to be married to - a loving husband , extremely loving in laws and an extremely affectionate environment ... God's blessings again to be mentioned and to be thankful to !! All my dreams have come true - A gala marriage with every body's blessing, a series of bright fun filled days and nights, an extremely loving and understanding husband , in laws who are parents in deed and best of friends ... every body's love always spoiling me and what not !!
Guys, married life is a bliss, trust me.. we all just need to stick on to our faith - faith in ourselves, faith in people we love and above all faith in God ..everything you do genuinely is always reciprocated ... i have always ignored the negatives and smiled at people giving negative inputs thinking "Thank God, I am not negative like them".. Certainly there needs to be a level of understanding and acceptance for everything, every relation and every venture.. we all can certainly make our marriages heavenly.. for that first of all, we need to start thinking ourselves as the vital part of the family for the rest of the family to think so..be focused and work on what you want to do and get, and you certainly get it !! Marriage resembles happiness, peace, prosperity, success and growth in all directions - togetherness is beautiful !!
I have not let my beautiful mind to be impacted by ugly thoughts , i did not constrain my colorful eyes to see only black and white , i have never let my dreams to by stolen by others... most importantly,I have never let my faith to be shaken .... Marriage is not a one - two - three days celebration ... its just the beginning of a life time celebration series guys !! Two people being on the same agenda in life doing everything together is sheer fun ... thank God for everything ...
Get married single ones .. n couples , come on , enjoy your togetherness :)).....

Dreams are the voyagers to achievement of GOALS !
On my way to Mumbai from Pune, I was passing by the picturesque landscape of Lonavla. I am certainly not quite glad to say that I never had a chance to have a look into mother nature's bounteous view of this exotic spot in India though I have appreciated places like Great Ocean Drive in Australia or the Highlands of Scotland many a times ! While my eyes were appreciating the beauty of the extensive ranges running through miles and miles , a dreamy patch was outrunning my conscience as the bus was passing by - yeh ... its like a dream !! A breather, as this trip to Mumbai was giving me, I realised that God's been extremely kind to grant me all my dreams ... all my dreams have come true.
This leads me to a memory lane wherein in I get to take a recapitulation of last couple of years in my life starting from the innocent days of my childhood. Dreams as they sound quite fascinating are natural cultivators of seeds to reap success in different realms of life. In our childhood we are absolutely pure and our thought process is uninterrupted and uncontaminated , and thus, we keep on dreaming in multiple dimensions. Dreams keep us live and kicking even when we are sleeping, absolutely oblivious of what is happening in our surroundings - they are the manifestations of our continual thought process as we run through the day. Our innocence leads us to a wide range of dreams starting from a barbie doll, hot wheel sport cars , fancy dresses, Ferraris, BMWs or a shuttle to the space. We often take a flight to the moon or to the Mars, make friends with aliens or to go treking to the distant Himalays - dreams are the enablers. As we grow up, consciously or in subconscious , dreams become the motivators and the enablers towards every goal in our lives. We score star marks in exams because we dream to be a topper, we get high appreciations on a paper read in a seminar because we dream to be a prominent speaker , we earn a Gold medal in university only because we follow our dreams to be a Gold medalist. I realize, dreams are the only enablers for all our achievements.
It really sounds amazing while we realize the power of dreams - but throughout life, the old theory of roses with thorns does peep out every now and then. I guess, when God created the magical wand of dreams, he devised another accompaniment called challenges for "proper chanelization of resources". Haha !! You must be thinking how come this resource stuff comes. Well, dreams are unlimited - we dream of many things as we grow up - fame, wealth, health , mansions, cars and what not. But do you think, it would be quite fair for anybody non deserving achieving anything ! In our hindu mythology Lord Rama had to win over multiple challenges including 14 yrs of exile to rule ove the kingdom of Ayodhya. Yes, thats exactly what I mean to say when I look back, that our dreams are often faced with multiple challenges like made fun of, apparent non achievability, surrounding failures and most significant ones - non encouraging family, friends and acquaintances. We are quite humane and so are our innocent dreams - we get quite impacted at those negative inputs and we become judgemental ........ CORROSION STARTS!! We start compromising our dreams :))) People get quite successful in making us lose faith in ourselves and get diverted from our dreams and goals !!
Here on, lemme share my own case study. Trust me, all what I have achieved till date, are resultant of my dreams .... yes, I have faced all the challenges at different points of time. But look there - I am successful and accomplished !! A research on my course of life for last couple of years will show that I certainly have become judgemental at different points of life - BUT , u almost got me , wait .... I have managed never to lose faith in my dreams and myself ... I am successful in achieving all my goals today because I have had the tenacity to keep continuously acting on my dreams. Dreams are certainly blank without discrete actions ... I have literally lived all my dreams till date ... A workflow diagram if I draw of dreams might take a flow of Dreams - Decision - Action - Updation with a Plan - Do - Check - Act cycle ...
Lonavla is awesome indeed - greeneries everywhere , greying blue mountains , small wooden houses , colorful flours .... a rich view of the dream i m going through as the bus travels in via the roundabouts of the hilly roads ... Again I take a dive into my memory ocean and come to see that I had been quite strong in visualization ... Remember, during the hot summer days when there used to be prolonged power cuts, everybody fretting and sweating and going through sleepless nights , the little me , I used to close my eyes, imagine raindrops falling on the roofs and a cool breeze used to soothe me and put me off to sleep !! .. U mus be thinking "oh yeh, r u joking me " ... But, trust you me mate, I am true !! Visualisation has got its own undercurrent. .. I just realized that I could achieve all my goals with my dreams coming true mostly because I used to visualize all my dreams .. I always used to visualise an apartment I will own by the age of 23 / 24 and the internal decor - I achieved it ... I dreamt of a loving and supporting family and exciting marriage and visualized every moment like my mother in law feeding me, father in law buying me westerns , accessories , husband pampering me like a kid .... wooohooooooo .... its true ... its all true ... I dreamt of driving a car myself and I used to drive in my dreams :)) ... and many more .... Mates, things really seems to be Deja Vu to me !! ...
Well, dreams seem to be like energy - can neither be created nor destroyed - only be transformed from one form to another .... continuous and uninterruptable ..... I have reached Mumbai ...... had been harbouring my dreams and thanks to this bus journey .... I am nurturing my new set of dreams .... visualizing and accomplishing as the HAPPY ME goes forward !!
